I found a blog of a woman who is serving in Guinea. Apparently she has sent a letter to her friend and he has put it online, but before she left, she had blogged about getting ready and all.
And on her packing list, what did I find???? "waterproof windbreaker", aka, a light rain jacket! See, I am not the only one!

does this mean you shouldn't listen to what the peace corps has to say? :)
Never listen to what Peace Corps officially says - always ask someone there you trust, like Kerry, to find out the truth.
This is what I have learned in two years of dealing the them and their stinkin' bureaucracy. I love them anyway, though.
